Our School Engagement Programme aims to work with and for local schools and groups of young people to engage them in their local history, archaeology and heritage. Whether this is developing teaching materials, visiting schools, or hosting trips to our excavation site, we understand the value of giving children and young adults the opportunity to explore and develop interests.
At the close of our 2023 excavations, we had the pleasure of hosting a Year 5 class, during which they were able to handle artefacts and finds, explore the trenches during a guided tour, and take part in an afternoon of workshop activities!
Below are downloadable versions of our Key Stage 1 Archaeology Workbook, and our Postcards to the Past activity!
